This healthy homemade taco seasoning is simple, flavorful, and made with real pantry spices — no fillers, no anti-caking agents, and you can control the salt and heat to fit your family.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fine pink Himalayan salt OR Redmond Real Salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add all spices to a small bowl or jar.
  • Stir or shake until evenly combined.
  • Store in an airtight container in your spice cabinet.
  • That’s it — your taco seasoning blend is ready whenever dinner needs to come together fast.

Notes

Most store taco seasoning packets contain about 2 tablespoons of seasoning.
- Use 2 tablespoons per pound of meat for a standard taco flavor
- Use 3 tablespoons per pound if you prefer a stronger seasoning
Add about 1/2 cup water, simmer until thickened, and your taco filling is ready.
