DIY laundry detergent
Ever thought of making your own DIY laundry detergent? Trust me, it's easier than you think, and the benefits are totally worth it. So grab your ingredients and let's get started on making your own powder laundry detergent!
- 1 cup of washing soda
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1 cup of epsom salt
- 1/2 cup of Baby Oxiclean optional, but very helpful when laundry contains lots of stains
- Optional-15 drops of essential oils wild orange is a great scent
In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients until well combined. Try to get rid of any clumps if there are any.
Store your homemade detergent in an airtight container or mason jar.
How to Use:
Designate a tablespoon to keep in your container.
Use 1-2 tablespoons of detergent per load, depending on the size and soil level of your laundry.
Add the detergent directly to the drum of your washing machine before adding your clothes.
I use this in an HE washer, and it works great!
It will work well in cool or warm water!
