ABOUT ME

Hey y’all! I’m Magen!

First, I just want to say how glad I am that you are here! My goal is to share something I have learned that will help make your life easier in some way!

I enjoy being a “Jack of all trades,” type of person. . . or should I say a “Jill of all trades?.” Well, now you know that making jokes isn’t one of those skills!

I like to stay productively busy. I begin many projects, but at times find myself struggling to complete them because I have moved onto another interest.

Some of those interests are: cooking, crafting, organizingteaching, natural healing, DIY home projects, thrifty shopping, and of course, potato flake sourdough. You will find me sharing about all of these things here.

As you might guess, we live in Tennessee. I have lived in Tennessee my whole life. It’s a place I’m proud to call home.

I’m even more proud of this little house that we have made our own. We bought this ranch style house back in 2020 and have since put many hours of updates and renovations into it to make it our perfect little home. What makes this home even sweeter is that we live on the same street as 4 other families from our church!

Meet my family.

My husband, Tommy and I, enjoy doing projects together. He is the perfect partner when it’s time to go frugal shopping. I think we make the perfect pair-we each are good a different things-making us good at a lot of things, together!

We are so blessed to have three precious kiddos. Two boys and one girl. They inspire many of the things that I share here on Little Tennessee Home.

At any given moment, we probably have some type of project going on around here. Sometimes unplanned, but we enjoy doing things ourselves.

Where you can find me!

When not spending time with my family, most of my energy gets put into creating new recipes. I share on facebook, instagram, pinterest, and occasionally on youtube.

A Few Fun Facts About Me:

I had a pet squirrel growing up—Nutty Buddy—and I ran sprints in high school track. My first car was a stick shift, and I’m still oddly proud of that skill.

I taught kindergarten for five years before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom, and now I’m homeschooling my own kiddos. In middle school, I ran a very serious “key-chain business” (complete with business cards), and by high school I’d upgraded to a YouTube channel with my best friend. We made ridiculous character videos, and no—you cannot watch them. Haha!
